The Lift by Marc Isaacs
The Lift was a short and very simple film created by Marc Isaacs. The only placement in the film was the lift from an apartment block giving us the feeling of being a fly on the wall looking into lives of people we would never have seen otherwise. We the viewer never got to leave the lift. The characters in the short were the people whom lived in the apartment block. The film was quite humorous and also touching story about the inhabitants living in London city. A lot of the themes that are touched upon in the film are normal themes that we would see in our own daily lives. A number of feelings and emotions are touched while watching the film. One person getting into the lift making the audience laugh, and another making us feel sad and sympathetic. Marc Isaac's The Lift is a nice little short story that portrays everyday lives of the residence of the apartment block.

She captures an aspect of life that is important. The subject of her art would have been going through something personal at the time. She would want to be anyone but herself, so when she was taking photos of other people she was trying on their skin. She captures things that may not be physically present. Her work tied to her a mood which led to her killing herself.

yes, for example Dian Arbus would call her subjects "freaks" and she would target people who are socially exposed. Rare individuality is what she wanted to capture.
